What the numbers on this site can and cannot tell you.

Not medical advice

The running and strength calculators give general estimates for healthy adults. They are not medical advice and do not replace advice from a doctor or qualified coach. Speak to a doctor before starting a new training program, especially if you have a heart condition, are pregnant, have an injury or take medication.

Heart rate zones from age-based formulas may not suit you. Some medicines, including beta blockers, change heart rate, so formula-based zones will not apply.

Train safely

Estimated one-rep maxes and RPE targets are starting points, not instructions to lift a certain weight. Use good technique, safety equipment and a spotter where appropriate, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness or chest discomfort.

Accuracy

Each calculator uses a published method and explains its limits. Real results depend on individual differences, conditions and how accurately inputs are measured.

Cricket rules

The cricket calculators follow standard definitions used in ICC events and most leagues. Competitions can set their own playing conditions, so always check the official rules and tables when qualification is at stake.
